An Activity at LUMS in NIC

On Tuesday November 12, 2019 at LUMS in NIC with a group of academics and policy practitioners together to formulate a Private Sector Competitiveness Strategy to help the government undertake key reforms which aims to identify major problems faced by the manufacturing and services sectors of Pakistan and present an implementable plan of action to remedy these problems with a special focus on enhancing export potential of the country.
In this context, A design thinking activity was planned to consult leading businessmen to identify significant hurdles to business such as tariff, regulation, taxation procedures, and infrastructure, with the target of
proposing specific recommendations to the government to boost exports and improve investment climate for business.
Faisal Sherjan , Project Director NIC Lahore and Naveed Iftikhar ,Public Policy Consultant NUST led the activity .
